We are having a lovely little season within the season. We have "sunset maples" now in their coral dress, a sort of coral red, very lovely color, along with the late yellow gold maples. Bits of color remain here and there, the reds of Japanese maples, the reddening of the Bradford pear leaves. The temperatures are mild and finally the rains of October have ceased. November and October have reversed their usual patterns this year with rainfall.
I have a nasty cold/laryngitis.

Sounds lovely. We have a few bright red Japanee maples around town and euonymus (sp.?) in hedges.
Take care of that throat, Garbo!
Maybe your late yellow gold maples are Norway maples. The leaf looks alot like the sugar maple.
